One step at a time..

Hi all,

I was just looking at the “stats” of my blog and today, 16 August, it was viewed by 34 people. For me, that is very exciting and incredible!. Although this blog has yet to really take steps to “higher grounds”, people have taken time out to peep in, to know what’s going on “inside”. That is already rewarding. My blog is incomplete, as you must have noticed and I am positive that some got disappointed when they accessed and found nothing in the page. Honestly, I am a “newbie” – I think everybody knows what I mean -. And being a newbie, I am taking “one step at a time” as I have titled this write-up. I would like to take this opportunity to share with all what one great thinker once said and I quote: “Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.” Napoleon Hill said so. And I believe in what Napoleon Hill said. A lot of successful people have taken a step forward beyond their greatest failure. I don’t hope to reach the plateau of success Napoleon Hill talked about, I must say I am already late for it, but I would neither “throw the towel in”, and instead try to do my best.  Not  to  forget what  the Chinese taoist philosopher  Lao  Tzu  said:  “The  journey of a thousand miles  begins with  one step”.    And putting up this blog is a sort of  a  journey,    one big challenge,  I wish to face.
So let me thank those people who have viewed by blog and I hope they continue in doing so.   I am  more encouraged  to proceed.
Going to another subject matter, it would really be great if this blog is able to serve as channel for Filipinos living in various countries in the world to tune in with each other. Of course, everyone is already reaching out through FB, Google, Twitter, Linkd in, and a lot of etceteras, not to mention the telephone, letters, telegram and other means. But my idea is to make this blog much more “Filipino”, “Philippinized” (if there is such a word), and let the world learn more about the Filipinos and Filipinos themselves learn from other Filipinos. It’s a tall order, but, man has already traveled to the moon, so perhaps I will use as my other inspiration what Neil Armstrong said when he landed on the moon, and I quote: “This is one small step for man, but a giant leap for mankind”.. What I want to point out is that, nothing is impossible nowadays, and things can be done with enough will power, courage and determination.
In my next issues, I will come up with a surprise program that will surely “provoke” the interest of  a lot of people to visit this blog. Just hang on and standby for it. You’d love it!

All the best to everyone!.
